The KC Current have extended Temwa Chawinga through the 2029 season using the NWSL’s new ‘High Impact Player’ rule. This rule that we have been critical of before was put into place without consulting the players union. We will definitely flesh it out further in the future but for now, we can celebrating the GOAT of women’s soccer staying in Kansas City for a significant amount of years!
